STRAVINSKY Petroushka and Le Sacre du Printemp London Philharmonic (how's my spelling?)  I have both of those on vinyl... great stuff.

You've inspired me to pull out something orchestral, but I want American this week, so FERDE GROFE's Grand Canyon Suite, Mississippi Suite plus Victor Herbert; HOWARD HANSON conducting the Eastman-Rochester Orchestra

A little later, AARON COPLAND...

Big Jack Johnson, Daddy When is Mama Coming Home?, blues from 1993.  A little overproduced for my tastes (I like my blues lowtech), but fun.

I don't know if this fits here:

I've been at a "The good life" concert yesterday. Great music, but the crowd was smaller (app. 50-60) than they deserve it. But spirits were high and we made appropriate noise. I think they might be more successful in the US. Wednsday next week there will be "Minus the bear" at the same place. Looking forward to that.

Shake! by Black Market Audio.

These Dutch fellows mix surf and rockabilly, disco, and sampled commercials into one of the most fun reworkings of retro I've ever heard.  More info on them here (with sound samples).

Let's see if this works...

Heh.  I ought to try that one of these days when I've got my entire collection set to shuffle.

Right now: Listening to Carles Cases' score to Stuart Gordon's Dagon.
