Synopsis - Bad sheriff hates army guys, Garner's son (Howell) gets arrested on trumped up charges and goes to county work farm. Garner has a Sherman Tank he refurbed as a hobby.  Garner takes tank and busts son out of the pokey with the help of local prostitute.  They run for the state border and make national news.

It looks like most of the film has been described quite well already---but there is a  scene that is an absolute riot that I just have to mention......

The "evil sherriff" heads over to the prostitute's house and wakes her up at about 6:30 in the morning---he asks her if she believes in Wonder Woman and thinks Wonder Woman is real.....she says no---and he tells her how good she is--then he asks her if she believes in The Lone Ranger.

She says no again--and this time he calls her a liar and starts to beat her naked backside with a heavy leather belt (nothing is seen of course).
