Does anyone know if Paramount is planning to release the Friday the 13th movies all in one big DVD box set (instead of the really slow one-at-a-time crap they've been pulling)?  Maybe to coincide with Jason X?

If Jason X does really well at the theaters this summer, you could probably expect Paramount to release them in a huge collectors set, hopefully all uncut and uneditted.

The Friday The 13th Collection would be the greatest box set ever released!

Yeah, Paramount sucks. They release 2 DVD's every October, and don't put on any extras! Bastards. At least its in widescreen and have a nice transfer, espeically part 3.

It's certainly not like nobody's ever done a slasher box set before--The Nightmare on Elm Street Collection absolutely kicks ass.  I personally think Friday the 13th makes more sense as a box than NOES, where the first and seventh installments don't really fit into the mold of the other films.  All of the Friday movies are roughly the same quality, so people who want the first two are going to want all (soon-to-be) ten of them.

The reason why i said F13 would make a great box set is because each Friday movie has been cut so much by the MPAA. If you don't believe me, check out the cut scene section of Diabolical Dominion.

Any horror fan would sell his own mother to obtain a set.

Hell, I would!

The best thing would be if they included the NC-17 material via seamless branching, like the extra scenes on the Abyss and T2 special editions.  That way we could watch the movies in their uncensored versions, or we could choose to watch them in the cut versions we've seen and loved for so many years.  From what I've seen on IMDb, every single one of those movies was severely watered down by the ratings board.
