I can't believe I'm saying this about a Bruce Campbell film, but this was not up to his usual talent. I was really disappointed with this offering, I've had it a while and never got around to watching it until tonight, it just didn't have the typical Campbell-ish humor and goofiness to it. It really moved to slow and just did offer many laughs with his normally dry wit.
If you haven't seen it I will not spoil it for you. I'll tell you the plot. Bruce is popped in the head and gets brain damage and is a veg, but another guy is killed and mad doctor puts half the dead guys brain in Bruce's head to bring him around, success! Bruce plays an ugly American capitalist pig with his American wife and the other side of his brain is an ugly socialist pig guy (Yegor) with his gypsy girlfriend, well Bruce and Yegor don't get along and fight for control of one body, gee didn't Steve Martin make a film like this in 1983, yeah I think so. So not only did the plot seem like a bit of a rip off, Bruce just didn't shine in his full llength movie directorial debut. Overall it was just boring and slow compared to some of the cinematic magic his has placed upon the screen. There was one or two mildly humorous moments, but never a LOL moment to me.
So if you've seen it and liked it great, I just thought it was really lacking.

Same here, I thought the humor fell completely flat and besides, we've seen it all before.

Yeah, I have to say that this film was a huge disappointment.  I had been looking forward to it for a long time.  It was great to finally see Bruce get behind the camera and start making his own films.  Sadly the film was highly unoriginal and not all that entertaining.  No one in the film did a very good job.  Everyone was way too over the top in their respective roles, and it just didn't work for me.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

I think this was part of a two movie deal that Bruce had with SciFi channel. The other was Alien Apocalypse, which is equally lousy with Bruce phoning in his part.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Compared to the TMWSB I actually liked AA, at least it had a few catchy lines in it.

I kinda like TMWSB, , obviously not up to par with AOD or Bubba Ho-Tep. .. but I liked it. I REALLY want one of those 'Detroit' shirts Pavel wore. . .I thought AA was a bit flat. . .
Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

They didn't take the humor or situations nearly as far as they should have with this one.  Bruce Campbell also takes way too long to give his fans what they rented/bought this movie to see which is him doing his physical comedy thing in addition to any memorable lines.

Only for die hard Ash fans.
