Snowballin'! (1971) aka apres ski

       One of the things that weirds me out about foreign soft core sex films is that the people taking part in the various illicit activities are  so normal.  In the US, we tend to associate any sort of deviant behaviour with the counterculture: hippies, bikers, pimps, rockers.    In europe they  would have orgies then  put on tan sweaters and engage in bland lifestyles.  So movies like this and  "Felicity" kind of weird me out.  and there is no tension, only release.    In america, engaging in sin is supposed to be accompanied with either massive guilt or s sort of suicidal quasi-religious refutation of society.  rebellion.

      Anyway,  this movie has tons of nudity.  it's 70 minutes long, more than half of those minutes feature some ski bunny nude.  Virtually all of them are very attractive.  It kind of resembles 80's teeny bopper movies more than the films of it's own era.  Again, there is no guilt.  One woman resists one guy, but 5 minutes later she gladly gives in.   There is some confusion in that the main character, who looks like Olympic swimmer Mark Spitz,  appears to be desperately in love wih one woman, then that kind of ends and he is in love with another woman.  It's like they filmed two versions and left both of them in. 


      This was a very good though very silly  exploitation flick .  It's Canadian, so you know they got all the details about the ski lodge right.  They practicly live in those things.  The country is a frozen tundra virtually year round.   It's cold "la" whole year

      brilliant/ hilarious/ classic ending.
