Mortal Envelope

Just got this good bad movie for xmas on DVD.  My sis and I grew up watching this movie daily on The Movie Channel back in the early 80s and it's funny that I still remember all the dialog, almost word for word.  There is some real silliness in this movie but it has some great scenes and proper atmosphere for this type of movie.  Best of all is the appearance of the Ramones!  More on this soon...I plan to write a user review for it as soon as time permits.

"DO YOUR PARENTS KNOW YOU'RE RAMONES?"-Miss Togar-ROCK AND ROLL HIGH SCHOOL

The best Rock and Roll Movie of all time, ever, anywhere. In the whole Universe even.
It's got PJ (HALLOWEEN) Soles,Clint (EVIL SPEAK) Howard,Paul (EATING RAOUL) Bartell, Mary (DEATHRACE 2000) Wornov, and Dick (EVERY AIP MOVIE EVER) Miller! And more!MORE!MORE!

Best of all...the Ramones play a$$loads of GREAT music through out the whole insane mess!!! GABBA!GABBA!

I love this movie...sigh.  :teddyr:

The Burgomaster

This is a schlock classic.  I'm a big Ramones fan and went to 3 of their concerts during the 1980s and 90s.  Pure energy.
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Yes, it's great.  Didn't realize there were that many stars in it though -awesome!  And yeah, because of this movie I was introduced to the Ramones at an early age and have been a life-long fan!  Many a ripped-jeans at the knees surely followed in my childhood, much to mum's regret :)

Some funny $h!t:
- seems to be only one Freshman and he pays the price for it
- love the lunch lady scene, "No not the Tuesday surprise!"
- the giant mouse at the concert  ...and his worried mom at the record burning
- that shot at the concert of the Indian scalper, the Beatnik teacher, and the giant mouse tokin a bong

And I might get flamed for this, but does anyone else think Mrs. Togar is a total MILF?  And Kate Rambow was smokin hot too!

Guess I should have posted this in "Good" movies section -oh well.

Ozzymandias speaks: You forgot one of my idols: The Real Don Steel as Screamin Steve.

I didn't realize it untill just recently...but watching the DEVIL'S REJECTS the other night, the scene where Sheri Moon Zombie lies in the middle of the road as atrap to get a car,and the woman who stops to help, and is jumped by Bill Mosley-that old woman is none other than Miss Togar- Mary Wornov!!! Also in the same film-the Mom who gets punched out in the parking lot by Sid Haig (who scares the hell outta the lady's kid) is -PJ Soles...aka Riff Randell!!!

And yes...Mary Wornov was quite an unusual beauty back in the day-in the late 60's she was part of Andy Warhol's troupe of musicians and artists -the Inevitable Exploding Plastic Machine -(did I get that right?) along with the Velvet Underground, and is a fine oil painter as well! Oh...you can see her nekkid in the obscure film SUGAR COOKIES (which was made about the same time she starred in the early slasher movie entry,SILENT NIGHT,BLOODY NIGHT ).
