I started doing this recently just because I like listening to movies like "House On Haunted Hill" and "The Bloody Brood" as much as watching them. They remind me of those old-time radio shows from the 30's - 50's, like The Shadow. I'm wondering if anyone else it interested in this. You of course can only pick movies not over 80 minutes. Here's how I do it:

1) I download a program called Audacity
2) Use "Stereo Mix"
3) Play the audio source
4) Hit record on Audacity
5) Edit to me hearts content

That's it! I am using this for trailers as well. Youtube has a lot so I can just create a CDr of old trailers and radio spots from DVD's and it's something else to enjoy while driving, since I can't watch them while I drive. Try it!

I've done roughly the same think from these website that has tons and tons of old radio shows. The latter link streams shows but it's not on demand streaming, as you know you can program Audacity when to start and stop recording.

This one sells shows for $7.00

This site streams shows and sells recorded disc, most are $4.99

Don't know about you but my time is worth more than $5. If you order complete show sets you can save 20%.

There's a facebook group that links dozens of shows for free to download.
I've got my hands full. I love the movies that have that old crackle sound to the film, makes it seem older.
