I just saw this today and enjoyed for the most part. Its not something I watch again and again as felt a bit generic but it did have the 80s action fans in mind. Plus McClain type of thinking of using vehicles to beat people stronger is just a awesome in a "I would and can do that" type of idea.

I mean if I was getting my ass kicked by a person I would want to hit them with a car. Its the american way.

I saw this movie with me and my parents at the cinemas. As a long-time fan who was born a few years too late to see the originals at the movies, I thought it was great fun. And I enjoyed the action scenes; the F22 bit was what I was looking out for!

All that's beaten, though, by feeling the row of seats shudder as your dad jumps during each tense moment.

I have only one complaint about this film and that is I could have seen it for free at our July film festival's cinema but didn't. Shows you how focused I was. 

It's known as Die Hard 4.0 here: I blind bought it on DVD and really enjoyed it: I think I have the PG13 version or what passes for a PG13 here in South Africa.

Aside from the film being great, the goofs were really funny and the Guyznite Die Hard video was great: I loved the way they moaned about Fox taking the video down: "something about us stealing their footage"...

WOW!!!  I watched this on video last night (the unrated version, BTW), and I must say this is probably the best of the franchise.  You'd think with Bruce Willis pushing 60 that this sort of role wouldn't work for him anymore, but his John McClain is still believable and tough as nails.  His hacker sidekick, Matthew Ferrell, is played by the same kid who was the Creeper's snack in JEEPERS CREEPERS, and he does a good turn as an anarchy-prone computer nerd.  What did the rest of you guys think?


(BTW, the whole chopper vs. police car tunnel scene was AWESOME!)

Haven't seen it yet, but I'm very interested in seeing it.  Die Hard's a great series.

My only two complaints about the movie is where is his son and nobody remember John McClain is a world famous hero.
