I'm a huge fan of netflix and i love thier instant viewing feature, although what they have to view online that i would actually watch is somewhat limited.. Last nite though, i watched Tales From The Crypt. Not the one with the crypt keeper puppet, but the one with Joan Collins <whom i've been a fan of since i was about six years old, yeah, i know, i'm  a dork> and Christopher Lee..another really great actor. I really enjoyed this movie and had forgotten about it since i hadn't seen it in years. I love the idea that  a woman goes to kill her loving husband on christmas eve, only to get killed by an escaped mental patient dressed up like santa claus...

btw, if you are using netflix and go to watch something thru instant viewing..Avoid Skinned Alive as if it were some kind of contagious plauge. Like alot of people i know, i'm a huge fan of cheese. A few people i know said i should watch it, i'd love it.. i think i almost made it through the first thirty minutes...

Though this one is the only one I saw in the theater, seeing all the others on TV, by now, I have seen all seven or eight horror anthologies from Amicus Productions. When I first saw it in the theater, I didn't enjoy it. But, I think that was more me than the film. Now, I'd think I'd place it near the top of the Amicus horror anthologies.

Just a correction. Chris Lee is a really great actor, and one last of the old time villains still alive and working. But he is not in "Tales from the Crypt." He is in two other horror anthologies from Amicus Productions: "The House that Dripped Blood" and "Dr. Terror's House of Horrors." SisterGrace may be confusing one of those films with this one.

I saw this on Svengoolie, (if you do not know what I'm talking about I pity you greatly)  I love how all of the stories had a sort of ironic ending.
Barbeque sauce tastes good on EVERYTHING, even salad.

Yes, salad.

I have this one on VHS....I like it alot! Saw it in the theater back in the 70's too...! Peter Cuching is GREAT as the old man who returns from the dead. And the segment with Joan Collins is cool too.

Actually...I love the whole movie!!!

In fact...this gives me an escuse to watch the trailer!!! Hehehehehe!

Man, I love those old Amicus anthologies. I remember catching this one and the Vault of Horror on late night tv back in the late 80's. I popped popcorn, curled up in bed with the lights out and had a blast. Ah, those were the days.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

How could i confuse Christopher Lee with Peter Cushing? ...*smacks self*... i've got to lay off the twinkies...

This film contains the always relevant lesson that even blind, Patrick Magee can indeed be a dangerous adversary.

Have you seen Tales From The Crypt Presents - Demon Knight (1995)
This is my favorite Tales from the Crypt movie. It features Billy Zane and Jada Pinkett Smith

Yes, a great film. I can't recommend it highly enough. On the other hand, I can't disrecommend the next film from "Tales from the Crypt" "Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood" enough.

DARKTIGER

Bordello Of Blood was the only worst one of the three Tales From The Crypt films. Only one very good thing about it I can think of is the very sexy Ms. Kiara Hunter and her very sexy outfit. :buggedout: :teddyr:

I was just watching The House That Dripped Blood the other night.  Had it on an old VHS tape and was transferring it to DVD.  Unfortunately the tape was two hours long, and the movie ran slightly more than that  :hatred:  The woman had just put on the vampire cloak and was looking nastily at the old actor guy.  Wonder what happened after that?

The woman who donned the cloak is none other than the beautiful and talented INGRID PITT!

  As for the ending.....

Interesting fact about Ms. Pitt....she fled Communist Poland on FOOT....! Just to make cool movies like the VAMPIRE LOVERS and COUNTESS DRACULA for us !

I'm a huge fan of this film.  I was thrilled when it was released to DVD, last year, but greatly disappointed that, Vault of Horror, which was part of the double-feature disc, was edited.   :hatred:
