My mother's surgery to insert a pain control device in her back has to be rescheduled because insurance denied the claim at the last possible moment.  She had another pain attack a few hours after she read the news. 

They will pay the claim eventually, they're just delaying.

And my "Say Whatever" to that comment is: Insurance companies are scammers and people are nothing but numbers....it's a sad thing.

I don't know much about insurance, but yeah, they clearly see people as ways to make an extra buck.  Otherwise they would look for loopholes to avoid paying.  "I'm sorry sir but you needed to be injured in the continental U.S. to recieve payment."
