Killer Bees

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programme for some "raining on your parade" news.

I saw so many guys in the city yesterday carrying boxes and bunches of flowers and I thought "poor buggers".  Valentines Day is such a scam, even worse than Christmas and Easter.  If you truly love someone, you should show them every day and not just once a year.

And I feel sorry for guys in general.  They usually get the whole romance thing wrong and then women go beserk and berate them for not outdoing their girlfriends or showing the proper love and respect.

And so I say a big HURRUMPH!! to yet another disgusting  example of capitalism/consumerism/commercialism/random other "ism" gone insane in our society.

We now return you to your regularly schedule programme.

BTW, Happy Valentine's Day to all those incurables out there.  I might be a cynic, but I'm a magnanimous cynic.
Flower, gleam and glow
Let your power shine
Make the clock reverse
Bring back what once was mine
Heal what has been hurt
Change the fates' design
Save what has been lost
Bring back what once was mine
What once was mine.......

Well, Christmas and Easter were religous celebrations that became commercialized.  However I think Valentine's Day was created by Hallmark.  I say, we go right around them and start giving each other slabs of meat for this special day.

I refused to be victimized by a made up holiday.

I'm not buying a $100 Vermont Teddy Baby
I'm not buying a Pajama-gram
I'm not buying over priced candy.
I'm not buying a card.
I'm spending one thin dime.

I well say Happy Valentines Day though.

All that stuff is so way overpriced..i refuse to pay 12 dollars for a box of unedible candies, Instead, I'll just spend twenty bucks on a new pair of stockings..besides i think that would make him happier anyways...
