Johnny Cash - American III: Solitary Man

American IV: The Man Comes Around

American V: A Hundred Highways

Big fan of I & II, my first time hearing the rest straight through.  V was by far my favorite.

Good stuff.  My favorite on Cash V is "God's Gonna Cut You Down."
"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell."

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.

Good New Age (or "contemporary instrumental," really) that centers on acoustic instruments: piano, cello, flute, etc.

Happy, "God's Gonna Cut You Down"'s my favorite cut too, so far.  Actually I've never heard a bad version of that gospel standard.  Moby and the Blind Boys of Alabama do cool (but less intense) versions as well.

Very little of the direct Celtic influence that he drew from in composing the music for Riverdance and Feet of Flames; it reminds me a lot of Michael Oldfield's poppier stuff.
