Some titles I love that others find less than appealing would be:

-Hellfighters (John Wayne)
-White Christmas (Most seem to prefer, Holiday Inn)
-Earth vs the Spider (1958)
-The Lost Continent (1968)
-The Terrornauts
-Flesh For Frankenstein
-Island of Terror
-Night of the Big Heat (AKA: Island of the Burning Doomed)
-The Lost World (1960)
-The Monster That Challenged the World
-Moon Zero Two
-The Navy vs the Night Monsters
-Night of the Lepus
-Billy the Kid vs Dracula
-Beginning of the End (Did see someone else mention this, greetings fellow fan!)
-One Million Years B.C.
-Rawhead Rex
-The Giant Claw
-Super Inframan
-The Frozen Dead
-When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth

I can say, with all honesty, that I have seen and enjoyed every movie you have listed. Except for MOON ZERO TWO and the NAVY vs. the NIGHT MONSTERS...and that maybe only because I haven't seen them yet.

Nice to meet a fellow fan with such great taste in films.   :teddyr:  I think if you ever get the opportunity to watch, MOON ZERO TWO and THE NAVY VS THE NIGHT MONSTERS, you'll enjoy the films.

I'm getting into this thread a little late but I must once again voice my approval for Josie And The p***ycats.   The film is pretty witty and has a lot to say on pop culture.

Boogie Nights rules by the way.

Josie and The p***ycats gets my vote.  Rosario Dawson is in it and she's sexy.

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.

I absolutely, irreparably love and adore The Turkish Wizard of Oz.  Yes: TURKISH Wizard of Oz.

Major parts of it make no sense, it is all done on the cheap to the nth degree, they made Scarecrow camp it up, Dorothy looks a tad older than Judy Garland was and the Wicked With seems to be standing on a reverb pedal for all her scenes...not to mention the actual Wizard looks like Merlin more than the character in the 1939 film.

BUT...

This is such a hypnotically bad film and so badly made and has so many unnecessary dance scenes (not as many singing scenes as there are just dance scenes) that it's impossible to not watch this and fall in love with every facet of it.

There are those who disagree I know (hello, Tars Tarkas!), but hey, individuality is what makes the world go around!!

And now, a brief interlude:

Wet Hot American Summer
I hear it has a pretty big cult gathering, but most of the friends I showed it to weren't crazy about it.
And it has 32% rating on Rotten Tomatoes! I don't understand why, it's an amazing film.

It seems like you-all hate WOODY ALLEN.  I am not a fan of his early films, and really am a bit young for WOODY's classic comedies.  But in the 1980s, WOODY started making more thoughtful, character-driven (rather than gag-driven) films.  Today, I heard yet another rendition of "Bewitched," probably my favorite song, and when I hear it, I always think of HANNAH AND HER SISTERS, perhaps my favorite film.  WOODY made a number of great films in these years, particularly THE PURPLE ROSE OF CAIRO and CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS, with MARTIN LANDAU in his Oscar-nominated performance (yeh, once-in-a-while they get it right).  Okay, I will not get into politics or religion, the unspoken contexts of all WOODY ALLEN films and discussions about his films, but he still made many good, funny films.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

I know "Lifeforce" tends to get a bad rap but I find it weirdly fascinating. It's actually the best melding of the horror and Sci-Fi genres that I've seen.
