For some reason a film popped into my head this morning and I can't seem to recall the name of it.  It had a heavy rotation on HBO in the early 90s or so and was about a robot who looked like a young boy.  If I'm not mistaken, he was developed by the military and a family took him in.  I clearly recall him playing baseball, that kind of thing.

The title of the film was some sort of acronym but I couldn't even being to tell you what it remotely sounded like.  I want to say that the film itself was from the early to mid 80s or so.

Anyone else remember this film?
