You made me realize that disc 2, the one uploaded, is all wrong (transferred from my old computer... are there bizarre rerecordings of "If I Can't Have You...?")  Of course, tonight, I tried to upload both disks.  Disc 2 failed.  AND, rerecordings are apparent on this disc!!!  BEWARE.  Beware...  :hatred:

There are some bonus remixes tacked onto the end of Disc 2. I think there's 4 total of those.

At the end of disc one you get a bonus outtake track from the Fever sessions in addition to the original 12 inch promo version of Stayin' Alive.

The actual songs themselves are the original versions.  I haven't heard of any re-recordings that were done on those tracks.  All of them are the original 70's versions from what they have listed on the liner notes.

Maybe you accidentally got some of the remixes or someone uploaded the wrong tracks or something.

I am on a new computer and lots of funky stuff has happened, including with Media Player.  After much kicking in the a** I was able to get both discs loaded, but not after deleting duplicates, having whole folders disappear... not sure what I was hearing last night, "If I Can't Have You" sounds different than I remember it, but disc 2 is mostly their not-so-big hits (and my own favorite "Nights On Broadway").  I've had this collection for quite a few years, rarely listen to it, and usually only as background, but I did grow up with these records... maybe I've forgotten how hokey they sometimes were.  Oh well, at least I got both discs loaded.  Media Player often misidentifies discs I upload (on the old computer, too).

The set of the Greatest 2 album that I got this past week was re-released in 2007 as the remastered version with bonus remixes and a couple of unreleased tracks on it. If you don't have this one I highly recommend it as I don't ever remember hearing these tracks sound this great sound quality wise as they do on this new version. It's well worth it.  It makes the older CD of it sound like complete crap.

That's right.  However, I'll keep my crappy old copy and buy something else...

I see your point. But I didn't have this CD at all so it was good buy. One of my older sisters had it on vinyl for years while I was growing up.
