Two Moon Junction (1988)

This is one of the weirdest movies I've seen in a while. Not weird like wacky weird but weird likesomething is very wrong here. The director, Zalman King, had something to do with 9 1/2 weeks and this is sort of in that mold but it sort of misfires. it's still entertaining though. Part of me just wants to write this off as typical pre-internet porn late night HBO soft core, but parts of it are actually good. The star Sherilynn Finn, looks like a cross between melanie griffith and gwen Stefanie and is about as talented as either of those two. The whole thing with this carnival and these debutantes and everything is like a some kind of hallucination or bad dream. In one scene, the debutante girl is lying nude on some bags of oats or something with the statue of a womens head behind her while the chiseled blue collar hearthrob guy is across the room talking , weiner visible in the bottom of the screen. surreal Lifetime soft core?

i don't know that i would call this movie great or even good but it was memorable. Millla jovovivich however you spell it and herve villcheize are in it

Funny that you should bring this one up. I was just about to start a thread asking if anyone had ever seen an "erotic thriller" that was even mildly entertaining. I guess this one actually qualifies.

Having said that, I rented this when I was in college and my roommate and I quickly became bored with it and fast-forwarded to the nude scenes. Maybe I should give it another chance.

Oh, and Sherilynn Fenn was much sexier as a brunette.

Eh, I loathed BASIC INSTINCT, but I may be in the minority on that.

FATAL ATTRACTION could be a decent suggestion, though I haven't seen it. I was thinking of the erotic thriller genre as composed of BASIC INSTINCT and its slew of softcore imitators.

fatal attraction kicked my ass. it's one of those movies you see at the video store and never think of renting but it's pretty awesome. If you like Michael Douglas other movies like "the game" and stuff like that, it's over similar quality. Glenn Close is amazing. it's like a horor movie for your penis. this girl who's not even as hot as his wife shows him a good time then won't go away.

also, if you go the other direction away from quality, don't miss Richard grieco's "tomcat: dangerous desires" only available on vhs. he has some sort of cat particles injected in his brain and it makes him a killer but also great dancer. it's not a comedy. I read about it once in this rolling stone interview with brad pitt he was like "when you come to hollywood, you have to do alot of these straight to video things for a while." then he went on to describe "tomcat" and it really is the king.

Two Moon Junction is a fabulous film and one of my faves.

Fatal Attraction is awesome too, although I don't know what Michael Douglas's character saw in Glenn Close. Deep fried perm, anyone?

Basic Instinct was great too. Sharon Stone was never hotter or more dangerous. As an actor, Michael Douglas must love being at the mercy of his penis

Having anybody seen the sequel Return To Two Moon Junction. Mindy Clark was very hot in that one especially the scene when she get out of the bed what great butt shot.

I definately enjoyed this movie, especially because the first time I saw it I was around 13 didnt understand much, was creeped out late at night, and seen nudity.

But after I watched it again I enjoyed the movie itself.
