Transformers, Thundercats and Battle of the Planets all have new comic books out now.  Actually, Thundercats hasn't been released yet, and I think Battle of the Planets was a one-shot, but they were all released recently.  "Updated" for an older audience, of course.

And other good news, Robotech finally has a decent looking video game coming out in the States.

And why complain about rap stars being in movies and not remember all those new wave singers from the 80's?  Let's get Sting and Adam Ant back into the theaters!  (On second thought, let's not.)

I'd like to see those "Spitting Image" puppets back on TV.  Now remembered primarily for the Genesis "Land of Confusion" video.  Man those puppets were freaky looking.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Glam metal!!!!!!! When metal bands looked cool and not like someone who pumps your gas!

StatCat

Morten Harket, Pal Waatakkr, and Mags better known as a-ha are better known for their 80s music but they made music up to now and they are one of my favorite bands. They need to come back to the US and play a few shows (they haven't since 1987 on their first tour)

Yeah, glam metal. It was cheesy, but it was fun. Now all metal is just chubby guys in black clothes screaming stuff like, "I hate me! Die!!!!". Whatever happened to "She's only seventeen, (seventeen),"?

ErikJ

If you want cheesy lyrics like that then check out Andrew W.K. He's not too bad but all the songs sound alike. But then again they sound fun. When was the last time rock was fun?

I'd like to see 80's style music really come back. The 80's were a great decade for music. AC/DC's Back In Black anyone? A-Ha(where the hell did they go?) Everytime I get a faulty DVD it reminds me of the song "Freeze-Frame".  AHHH, the good old days!

See,Lee,you found something to write about, regarding the 80s.
             Good job,bro!!!

Let's see, the 80s.  Well I graduated high school in 1983, I still have a crush on Debbie Harry, went to college. . . and, um, what were we talking about?

I don't think I have enough brain cells left to revisit the 80s.

Jay O'Connor

Dokken, Ratt, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Motley Crue...

Journey, Asia, Boston, Foreigner....

Ahh.....

Susan

80's music is making a comeback, of sorts. I don't know about the influence IN the music industry but i've noticed that enough decades have gone by that most radio stations have an all 80's station. And more movies are featuring classic 80's music or being set in the 80's (ie: Donnie Darko..romy and michelle, even never been kissed had scenes abiet they are more comedies)

ErikJ

Well Jay Dokken is still out there but without George Lynch. They have Reb Beach from Winger with them now. Last one I heard from them was Erase the Slate which reminded me of their earlier stuff.  Just avoid Dysfunctional like the plague. I can't even give it away it's that bad. The last Mr. Big album wasn't too bad either...just sounded too country in parts

More info please? What systems and what type of game will it be?

the 80's everyman

If there is one thing that I would like to see it is the cheesiness of 80's movies.  I think a resurgence is in the works.   The mirimax film Rock Star, and the new Zone 5 Pictures release, Rock'n with Satan, is a good start.  If you guys haven't seen it Rock'n yet, check it out.  It's a mix between the best of the Reagan-era pro america/wild guy rebelion and a (JW) John Water's movie.   The *0's are comming back!

Brock

The mix tape from hell has "Summer of '69" immediately followed by "Jack and Diane".

I have heard said mix tape.  It also prominantly features Creed.
