Speaking of the Beach Boys, did anyone else pick up the re-issue of Dennis Wilson's Pacific Ocean Blue?  It is an amazingly good album, and the new release has an extra disc with the unfinished Bambu album and several other unreleased tracks.  I got mine today, so get yours, too!!!

Also:

Acid Mothers Temple & the Melting Paraiso U.F.O. - Recurring Dream and Apocalypse -- Not an album I'd play for friends and family.  It's pretty freaky and noisy, but I kind of like it.

Dan Fogelberg - Nether Lands -- My dad had a couple extra copies of the CD and he kindly gave me one.  I've had it on vinyl for a while but never got around to listening to it, but I've been listening to the CD and it's a great album!

The Flesh Eaters - A Minute to Pray, a Second to Die -- This was an impulse buy, which was a little stupid 'cause I generally don't like punk music, but punk + saxophones and marimbas seemed appealing.  I'm not too thrilled with it so far, but I think it'll grow on me...UPDATE!  I've listened to this some more and I've decided that I like it.  It's not great, but it's pretty fun stuff.

I had just about all their albums, but the nice thing about the Greatest Hits CD is that you can listen to one great song, and then instead of it being followed by three pretty bad songs, like on their regular albums, it's actually followed by another great song, and another, and another!

True, Jack.     Saw STYX live nearly 30 years ago...

The artistry of BOBBIE GENTRY

Later, PINK FLOYD The Wall (which I think has always been underrated).

The Wall is an underrated album, totally.  Comfortably Numb and Mother are great songs in their own right, but juxtaposed with the rest of the album are even better.  CN has a good guitar part, too.  In fact, here's a "Disco" themed cover version of Comfortably Numb that's just odd, but I like it:
"Comfortably Numb" by Scissor Sisters

A bit off topic, but I"ve been listening to this song a bunch:
"I Don't Feel LIke Dancing" by Scissor Sisters

Written by Elton John, it sounds like a cross between Bee Gees and Elton, but with a fresher sound.

"Pink Floyd -The Wall" is likely my #1 album followed by "Alice Coopers - From the Inside" another unrated album IMO.

Which I'm going to listen to right now ...

Never got into ALICE COOPER, though I like him...
