 Has anyone else seen this;

 It has a bunch of unrelated B/W images that look like they have artificial scanlines in them to simulate monitor images. It shows a woman, a ladder falling, a round object covering the top of a well as seen from the bottom, etc. Near the end you hear a woman's voice say "When you die, you see the ring.".  That's it, there's no identification on it at all. I have no clue what the point of these spots is. I believe I've seen it on SciFi and on at least one local channel during syndicated SF shows.

 Anyone else seen this or have any idea what the point of it is?

Mofo Rising

Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

New public service announcements from the National Fatherhood Institute (I think that's what they're called) that use footage from SON OF GODZILLA with the King of the Monsters teaching Minya to blow fire and ending with him climbing on Godzilla's tail as he walks away. It's official - Godzilla is one hell of a dad!

Squishy

Bet they didn't use the bit where Godzilla threatens Minya with a crack to the skull...

Babydoll

Or when he stepped on his tail.

Yeah, I haven't seen the add, but it's definitely for The Ring, an American remake of a Japanese film about a cursed video tape (or something). Somewhere on the internet there's a short film (maybe a minute and a half long) that's supposedly the contents of the tape. Interesting little clip-- Kinda like David Lynch's early student stuff.

John

>Could be for that movie The Ring.

 Yup, I believe you're right. I'd never heard of it before.

 Too bad there's no way the movie could ever live up to the level of creepiness set by the commercial and the official web site.

 BTW, does anyone know of any software that will pull down entire web sites, Flash animations, Javascript and all? It looks very interesting, but everytime I click something, it starts downloading a new Flash movie at about 1.5K a second.

 Please let me know if you find the URL. I did a quick search for it, but being that "The Ring" is such a generic phrase, I didn't find anything relevant.

What's great about the Godzilla PSA, is that the theme song to "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" is playing during the whole thing.

Guess this discussion goes to show the advertising campaign is working...

 Thanks. Now that I've watched the crappy little 56K slideshow which the Ifilm site streamed to me at a blistering 1.5K a second, do you have any idea where I can download a copy of the video so that I can play it offline? In case you hadn't guessed I hate streaming video. It  *NEVER* works properly for me, even when I make sure to select the 56K version of the video. I want to be able to download the broadband version of the video. Of course they won't let me do that since it's copyrighted. I suppose to them, limited who can see it somehow makes sense for their advertising campaign. :(
