Yes, you read that correctly. For some reason, the Sci-fi channel never plays Tremors, only 1 and 2..Curious...they did a good job of cutting the gore out though. These movies are all entertaining and have great continuity. If you've seen the first, you'll understand the second better, and so on, but it's not required.

Umm, I've seen the first one on SFC, also on USA (same company). Plus I think I've seen it on TNT or is it TBS? It's weird, they all seem to have different cuts of it. They all cut to a commercial right after Kevin Bacon rescues his girlfriend and they run in the store with the creature passing right by and ruffling the wooden walkway, but when they come back from the commercial, it's a toss-up whether they'll show Bacon putting iodine on the cuts on her legs or if they'll start after she's already put on her pants.

Goon

I was hoping they were going to make a "Tremers 4" as a take off/remake of "Blood Beach".   I mean, you have to go from a foot long egg to a giant worm, so I was figuring sand or water would be a good place for the little ones to hang out before they got big enough to burrow through sollid earth.
Any idea of what the sci-fi channel is going to try to pass off as a "plot"?  I hope they at least get ahold of some of the animatronic monsters from the movies so the special effects aren't all CG.

Yup, Michael Gross will topline as Survivalist/Worm Hunter Bert.  While I've enjoyed each movie, and agree with Goon that a water based Blood Beach take-off would make a great concept for Part 4, this series seems doomed.  But I will watch at least one episode of the series to see how it plays out, I predict it will sink into the Kolchak: The Night Stalker identiplot problem - just how many times CAN you play same concept over and over and keep it fresh?

Oh, by the way, the series will "periodically" introduce new monsters to keep the show "fresh".

So it goes.

Ah, Michael Gross as Bert makes this whole steaming pile smell a bit sweeter. I'm sure there will be changes to Bert's character. He'll never carry any actual guns (except non-lethel laser pistols), he'll look off into the distance and have visions of the Graboids' locations, and the Graboids will be revealed to be alien cross-breeds developed by the government. Actually, that last one would be Bert's dream come true.

Chadzilla

El Blanco, the White Grabboid from T3 - which will probably be tamed and Bert's "pet/sidekick/grabboid spy" in the series.

I happen to love this trilogy and wouldn't mind a fourth but the first is still the best. The TV series will probably be unmeasurably stupid but I love stupid so it's good times.

If I had kids this would be the TV show I would bring them up on, that and Freddy's Nightmares (If it were still on).

Shorter opinion:

Tremors-  4 out of 4
Tremors 2: Aftershocks- 2 1/2 out of four
Tremors 3: Back to Perfection- 2 1/2 out of 4

John

Anyone want to make a bet how little death and gore this show will have?

Flangepart

Holy Grabboid guts!
....I don't have a lot of hope for this ...thing.
....Oh,no. I just visualised the plot of "Reign of Fire"...Only with Grabboids.
