Jackson's `Crude' Remarks May Be Boon for Obama Campaign

July 10 (Bloomberg) -- The Reverend Jesse Jackson's derogatory comments about Barack Obama could provide a boost for the presumptive Democratic nominee, giving him an opportunity to appeal to voters who have supported Republicans.

Jackson was appearing on Fox News on July 6 when a microphone picked up his remark suggesting that Obama was ``talking down to black people'' in recent speeches at black churches, according to a tape of the comments played on the Fox News Channel.

He then said, referring to Obama, ``I want to cut his nuts off,'' according to the Fox News Web site...

I think it is just eating Jesse alive that HE is not the first black nominee . . .

Here we go. You'd think the possibility of a black president would be cause for celebration, that even the highest office in the land is no longer out of reach. But no. He's sold out to the man. He's an Uncle Tom, an Oreo cookie. Good grief.

I still don't understand how anyone still takes Jesse Jackson seriously anymore after his whole love child scandal from a few years back in addition to the fact that he uses extortion to fatten his wallet.

All of my African-American friends can't stand him.

In fact one of them said the other day "I don't remember casting a vote for Jesse Jackson to represent the supposed thoughts of black people everywhere."

There was an interesting op-ed piece in the local paper, the day after this came out. Written by an Afro-American woman, it pointed out, that despite what the mostly white press may think, no black man or black woman speaks for all Afro-Americans. Not even Jesse Jackson, whatever he may think.
