Bear in mind, these are NOT the ten best movies imho.  I just think they're then ten that I'd stop to watch and call the office and say I'd be two hours late, if it came on the telly.

Thanks for really getting the thread and providing your list of 10!  What a crappy list...       I like several of your films, but couldn't watch them endlessly myself.  WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE? I guess is endlessly watchable... THE BAD SEED?  Ugh, I admit it's magnetic or hypnotizing like a train wreck before your eyes... a remarkable film, but with that creepy child (PATTY McCORMACK another for my WHO FREAKED YOU OUT? thread) and that hammy flipped-out mother (NANCY KELLY)     Ugh!!     (Talk about a BADMOVIE favorite!)

Saw, The Grand and literally fell in love with it. This is my dream movie, I cant recall wheter or not I've ever seen a movie with such memorable characters, but I should add that I do blaze quite a bit so my memory is never a good gaguge for anything. But trust that movie is nothing short of Amazing. Also up there is Sex and Death 101, not as funny as the grand but definitely equally as conceptually creative maybe even a little bit more so. I love the theme of this movie and its plays out very well, this movie is perfect for a hot date.

SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION was on my top 10 list but got the boot... definitely an endlessly watchable film, owing much to MORGAN FREEMAN... EDWARD SCISSORHANDS is one of TIM BURTON's films that I truly love and pretty much always watch when it turns up... THE GOONIES is underrated and misunderstood... really quite a fine film.

Morgan Freeman is a truly fantastic actor in my opinion.  I'll stop and watch just about any flick he's in.  Burton I like as a director, and while a lot of his flicks seem to focus on the "socially outcast, awkward individual' type, he seems to make it work.  Ed Wood is another flick of his I enjoy and was gonna add it to my list, but I never really see it on tv, so I just pop in the dvd.  I agree with you about Goonies...very underrated.

Definitely agree with SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, TAXI DRIVER, THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY... couldn't look at TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE endlessly, but it is a fine film.

Something I forgot to put on my list . . . . HBO's ROME.  I own the box set for seasons 1 and 2, and I can watch them over and over!! What an incredible piece of historic fiction!

One of my "endlessly watchable films" was on tonight: YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU and guess what?  Yeh, I sat through the whole thing again tonight and laughed through it and even shed a tear at the touching end.  Damn, I love that movie!

In terms of b-movies I never tire of "Evil Dead II", "Lifeforce", "Gorgo" and "War Of The Worlds".
As for "Good" movies - Any of the better James Bond flicks, "The Terminator", "A Fistful Of Dynamite", "Dad's Army", any John Wayne western or war film and "The Road Warrior".

Here's one I absolutely adore:
Shaun of The Dead- Absolutely wonderful film that works both as a comedy and a horror flick, with great moments of comedy, and wonderful homages/pieces of horror to make it blend beautifully.  I have the dvd, but almost ultimately end up watching it if it's rerun on tv, like it has been recently on Comedy Central.  Well worth watching if you haven't seen it.
