Last night I watched Untraceable. It was fairly good. I like Diane Lane and wish she would act more. The plot was pretty good and had several twists although some of it was pretty easy to figure out and the ending was kinda cheesy. Its another one of those FBI/Revenge type films but it was pretty decent.

According to IMDB, ..." A secret service agent, Jennifer Marsh, gets caught in a very personal and deadly cat-and-mouse game with a serial killer who knows that people (being what they are - both curious and drawn to the dark side of things) will log onto an "untraceable" website where he conducts violent and painful murders LIVE on the net. The more people who log on and enter the website, the quicker and more violently the victim dies."

It does say something about how the internet is flooded with clips of murder, torture, suicide, ect. and the general population's facination with these clips.

This is definitely worth a rent.
Society, exactly as it now exists is the ultimate expression of sadomasochism in action.
-boyd rice-
On the screen, there\\\'s a death and the rustle of cloth; and a sickly voice calling me handsome...
-Nick Cave-

Yeah I've seen it, it's a decent RENT film not a BUY. Since it has that "who is it, who done it" element once you know it kills the rewatchability factor somewhat.

It does exploit that same old "cops gonna get their man" story line and it's fairly predictable it's not hard to figure out who the hero will be 5 minutes into the film. No real twist in it at all.

It kind of reminded me a little of "Se7en", just no near as good.
