Just seen SIGNS last night and liked it. I thought it was going to be a movie about crop circles. I didn't read or hear any reviews about the movie other than it was doing well at the box office, so I was pleasantly surprised.

The few minutes of this film was turning me off till they show Gibson spotting a glimpse of something on the roof of the house outside then it got my attention. They only showed the whole alien three times and three other times with just parts like a leg, hand, or  finger.  The alien shots were effective except the CGI alien holding the boy at the end (I didn't like that). The best shot was of the news footage of the alien crossing an alley way in Mexico. This was truely creepy and also the quick outline of the alien on the roof near the beginning of the film.

The scene were Gibson is trying to see the reflection of the alien with a knife made me jump out of my seat. Good thing I wasn't holding the popcorn.

Oh, and for those who were interested there was a drama about Gibson's character loosing his faith, then coincidence brings him back.

Who dosn't believe already? Some say we are fools to believe, but I say your an idiot if you don't believe atleast believe in the real possibility of such things.

How about that army recruiter? That was funny, but his statements held to be true.

I like the UFO nostolgia with the book and the foil head caps. The TV news reports (from the closet) Loved it all.

Gibson wasn't very convincing, but it was confortable seeing a familiar face in the film. Sometimes this helps a film. Example would be RED PLANET with Val Kilmer.

Yes, this film was something like WAR OF THE WORLDS and maybe CHILDREN OF THE CORN (hehe).  Anyway I liked the movie. The director is very good.

When I see Val Kilmer's familiar face in a film it tells me that particular character's performance will be half-assed at best and that the cast crew of the film were treated like crap by someone not nearly talented enough to act like a prima donna. Other than that Kilmer's okay.

Phew................ that was a good one.
