I watched The Silence of the Lambs the other day and that line Buffalo Bill says in it cracks me up every time.
I'm also in the middle of writing a review of the cheesy 1980 movie "Midnight Madness" and near the end of it, Harold uses Barf's hand to break the glass on one of those boxes mounted on the wall that holds a firehose.  He then uses it to threaten the yellow team but ends up spraying a group of security guards instead.

I was curious to see if you guys can come up with some other films, good or bad, where hoses are either used or mentioned.

Another one is the end of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" where that cop says to Clark Griswold's boss, "That's pretty low mister.  If I had a rubber hose I would beat you..."

Can you think of any movies where a hose (or water cannon) is used or talked about?

A hose full of salt/sea water proves to be the ultimate nemesis of the marauding triffids in "The Day Of The Triffids".

Just about every women's prison movie has a scene like this, but surprisingly I couldn't find one example on youtube.  What's this world coming to?

Also: That scene in Joe Dirt with David Spade being in the hole.

"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell."

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.

Not a movie, but in the TV show WELCOME BACK, KOTTER, John Travolta was immortalized by saying, "Up your nose with a rubber hose."

Also, during the climax of SHAFT, the bad guys get sprayed with a high-pressure fire hose.

The prom scene at the end of CARRIE features people being sprayed with hoses.

There are hoses aplenty in THE TOWERING INFERNO.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

By the way, a shot of karma goes to ASH for this original (and funny) topic.

Jack Starrett in First Blood, talking to a deputy who is hosing Sylvester Stallone down: "Hey Preston! Don't forget to get him behind the ears!"

One of my favorite hose scenes, The Dead Pit, right at about 29 seconds

If this was a VHS tape, that section would be worn out  :teddyr:

I seem to recall Clint Eastwood as 'Dirty Harry Callaghan' use a water cannon to knock an adversary out of his guard tower in "The Enforcer".

Actually, I think he used a LAW (Light Anti-tank Weapon).  That movie always aggravates me because they keep referring to it as a "Laws Rocket" instead of just a LAW.

Sorry about that. In hindsight I must have been misremembering!
