Blanket licensing for online music, what do you think?

The Electronic Frontier Foundation has been pushing this for a while now. http://www.eff.org/pages/better-way-forward-voluntary-collective-licensing-music-file-sharing


Now someone who consults for Warner Records and some others is looking at it. http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20080818-paying-for-music-has-become-functionally-voluntary.html

Hopefully this will mean some progress toward stopping the RIAA  from harrassing people.
