"Ellen Berent" (GENE crazy TIERNEY) clings nuttily to "Richard Harland" (CORNEL WILDE) arranges the deeply disturbing and spooky drowning of "Harland"'s younger brother Danny (DARRYL HICKMAN) in a sequence hard to forgive... one of Hollywood's most powerful screen in-actions... and later frames her own sister (innocent JEANNE CRAIN) for her own murder, sorry to reveal too much...
