The country singer and co-star of  Smokey and the Bandit has died from emphysema at the age of 71.  Jerry was best known for his funny songs such as Amos -Moses and of course the one below.

Jerry Reed was a great entertainer no matter if he was in movies, animated on Scooby Doo or fishing with Bill Dance.  RIP

I always liked Jerry's work as the Bandit's sidekick, and my wife always enjoyed his episode of The Scooby-Doo Movies. Sorry to see it's his time.  :bluesad:

Too bad, he wasp great as a musician and an actor, and more than that he always seemed to enjoy what he was doing. R.I.P. Mr. Reed
