Old monster movie

I can't remember the name of the movie and can only remember bits and pieces of the movie. If this sounds familiar let me know. All I remember is it was this big cloverfeild style monster except it lokked like it was skinned or covered in blood and it was chasing people and eating them. They were hiding in a barn house or old house in the woods and it was getting in by taring through the roof and eating them. Any suggestions of movies to look at to see if I recognize one?

Oops, seems like this needs to be in What Was That Film? instead of Solved.

Was the monster sort of reptilian?  I have an idea but I'll have to look somewhere to remind myself of the title.

looking for an old movie where the monsters looked kind of like slow moving turtle shells with long snake like necks.  When they got you they would suck out your bones.  One guy fell into one his arm went in it and wow no bones.  When they took an ax and cut it open it looked like it was filled with noodle soup.  It was in late 60's and as a kid I saw it in a base movie while my dad was in the air force.  Any help will be great.....

That would be Island of Terror, a real classic.
