They are producing 36 new "originals" to show next year.  The article says they are currently filming in Davenport, IA on Children.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

I saw something recently about casting auditions for this.
If I didn't have to work every day, I'd drive there and audition.

It'd be an honor to appear in some Sci-fi channel cheese.

Oh no! Please God, no! Not more children of the corn! NOOOO!!  :buggedout:

There's far too much "corny-ness" already  :bouncegiggle:

I'm not even that big on the original, but this news makes me throw up in my mouth a little.  :bluesad:

"Don't make me stain my last clean shirt with the back of your head." - Shatter Dead
"A grizzly bear with a chainsaw. Now THERE's a killing machine!" - The Simpsons
"I've always wanted to make love to an angry welder." - Jaws: the Revenge

Jack

I never really cared for the original, so I guess I don't care if they remake it.  Some of their other sequels like Return of the Living Dead Rave to the Grave and Pumpkinhead:  Ashes to Ashes weren't really all that bad, so who knows, this might be worth watching.  I watch most of those Sci-Fi originals, and about half the time I even make it past the first commercial, so my opinion may not represent that of the majority  :teddyr:

Here, here!  CHILDREN OF THE CORN seems to have a following, but I never understood why.  But then again, I thought PUNKIN'HADE was dumb too, and I never liked RAWHEAD REX
