guy running in nothing but jock strap

This was sometime between 1977-1979.
I think these guys were college students.The only 2 scenes I remember are one guy is running down a hill while wearing nothing but a jock strap.
In the other scene,they are at a friends funeral(i think there is mention that the cause of death was a broken neck).While lying in the coffin,he suddenly pops up,showing us all that he is not dead after all and understandably freaking out his friends.
