I'll believe it when I actually see a copy show up in Best Buy.  Wonder if Axl will recoup his reported 14 million dollars that he's sunk into this album?   :teddyr: :tongueout:

Psycho Circus

This is going to be huge if it's true! I think everybody will hate it, because expectations will be so high and it has been soooo many years. I do like GNR, but I only believe "Appetite" to be their only great album, the 3 or 4 that followed were disappointing as the band could've put out much better material. The Illusion albums in particular, had about 3 awesome songs on each, then a load of self indulgent filler. I've heard one song off this album, I cant remember the name or the song in fact as it was really long and I got bored. As I said tho' this will be huge, it will sell by the bucket load but I expect it to get slammed by GNR fans and critics alike.

This has to be one of the most amusing stories in rock ever.  First off the whole aspect of GNR being Axl and a random crew of musicians is kind of funny to me.  GNR, as a band, in the 80s were like the new Rolling Stones with each member standing out on their own.  They were fresh with a brash attitude and served up good old rock music to boot.  The band seemed to get artsy fartsy towards the end of their run. I really lost touch with them in the Use Your Illusion days.  The big trilogy of videos was too stadium rock for me.

As for the CD, the song "Sheckler's Revenge" appears on Rock Band 2.  Probably not a bad marketing move although i haven't really listened to the song.  Respectfully disagreeing with Circus, I don't really see big sales for this album.  I think the GNR machine has lived and can't be resurrected.  Unless all the original members get together again.  Thats funny...

I was just watching a few video on youtube the other day of Axl walking off stage at various concerts.  I doubt I'd ever like to work with him if I were a musician.  Seems like an explosive arrangement.
