Kim Hunter, Zira in the first three Planet of the Apes films, has past away.  Her debut film was one of Val Lewton's aclaimed horror films, The Seventh Victim.  She was 79.

I agree.  Planet of the Apes is, in my opinion, the Citizen Kane of science fiction films, and the death of any of those performers is a loss to all.

Indeed. Hey, that remminds me of another actor who could class up a snuff film. Roddy McDowell! D'oh!

"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Also dead unfortunately. :(

Darn! Another one bites the dust. At this rate, all the actors and actresses in Hollywood will be younger then I am.
"The Planet of the Aoes" series, "7th Victim," that's all I've seen her in, except, for a personal favorite of mine, as it deals with the subject  of libraries and book burnings, :"Storm Center," with Bette Davis as the librarian.

Cullen

No spoilers or anything (I've done that enough on my own) but is 7th Victim as good as they saw?

(Not the mythical "they," of course.  The reviews I've read.)

In reply to your question, Cullen, I don't remember to much about "7th Victim," besides the fact that it is one of the few films that I've seen, that didn't make much sense. That and the fact that it starred George Sander's brother, Tom Conway. But, any time you run across a Val Lewton film ("Cat People," "I Walked with a Zombie," "The Body Snatcher," etc.) that you haven't seen, it's worth seeing.
There is a man who died too son (46 and of a heart attack) and I don't say that about too many Hollywood producers. Enjoy!

Cullen

The reason I planned to see it was because it was a Lewton film.  The guy made classics.

>that's all I've seen her in,

She had a small part in a bad horror movie with Amanda Pays called The Kindred.
