The republicans don't bother with trying register voters, they just concentrate on getting people who are already legally on the rolls thrown off.  In Michigan, they tried using mortgage foreclosure notices to get voters thrown off the rolls.  I can't find the article again, but in one place they tried using postal change of address forms to get people thrown off. One of these was a guy getting deployed to Iraq who was having his mail forwarded to his parents while he was away.

No, you can't lay all this at the feet of the evil ACORN, there's plenty of nasty crap going on on both sides.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Remember earlier this month when I predicted voter fraud was going on on a massive scale and sure to be big news in coming days? Front page of the local paper today was this article:

http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20081015/NEWS0106/810150337/1113/election0

Excerpts:

"The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now is accused of registering fake or duplicate voters in a dozen states, including Ohio."

"Republican John McCain's campaign Tuesday said Obama should rein in ACORN's mass registration efforts to fight voter fraud. The campaign accuses Obama of having close ties to the group."

"In Columbus, Mike Crites, a former U.S. attorney and the Republican candidate for Ohio attorney general, said ACORN should be investigated under state or federal racketeering statutes for alleged fraud. 'I've spent 20 years as a prosecutor so it's not too hard to spot a bad apple - or in this case, a bad ACORN,' Crites said. If elected Nov. 4, Crites said his first day in office would be spent conferring with county prosecutors in large Ohio cities and Ohio's federal prosecutors to begin gathering evidence of possible election fraud by ACORN and others."

"The Hamilton County Board of Elections is checking whether ACORN fraudulently submitted multiple voter registrations for people who don't exist. The board has received at least 10,000 duplicate voter registrations this year and possibly thousands of fictitious ones."

And I still say coming weeks will show this is just the beginning and the tip of one big mutha of an iceberg.

What does not kill me makes me stranger.

Yes I'd like to see that story since I haven't heard anything about it, I'm sure there is way more to it than is being said here. On the other hand ACORN is being investigated in 13 states and charged with fraud in others.
