Toho is very protective of thier copyrights, Id imagine they're not big on fanmade stuff. Its an intersting idea but I think it would have happened by now. Both these monsters pale in comarison to what they were durring the Shōwa Series, Heisei Godzill and Gamera just don't have the personality of the originals.

Kind of like finnaly getting Jet Li and Jackie on screen together, yeah it was good but i imagine what it would have been like 15 years ago!

^^ True, true. I think they[Toho] knew that "Godzilla" would surely have to be the 'bad guy' in the film and we know that bad guys never win. This meaning their beloved kaiju idol would have to lose to his own competition on screen. That and they probably wouldn't want their competition making a film with their monster star.
