Yeah, that's a shame, he did fit the role.

One gripe I have with the new series (other than its lack of getting the right tone the way the classic series did) is that if you notice the old series used to travel to all corners of this and other universes while this Doctor pretty much sticks either to planet earth or to space stations near it. That's leaving a lot of would-be plot lines untouched.

Didn't think it would last as he's worried about being typecast and being stuck in the role. I've not really any love for the newer series', plus David Tennant's crazy eyes always bugged me.... :buggedout:

Bring back Tom Baker and rubber monsters!

The new series is pretty bad.  I watched two Eccelston episodes and one Tennant episode and all three were so bad I wanted to cry.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!

Although I did like Tennant, the newer series were for me a little too slick and 'nice'. They seem to want it to be a "Buffy" type show.
