Raw bacon is GREAT! It's like regular bacon, only faster, and it doesn't burn the roof of your mouth!

See that, conservative would-be comics (I'm looking at you, makers of An American Carol)? You can poke fun at liberals and be funny. You'll know you did it right if we laugh too.

I think that the key is for the basic absurdity being ridiculed not to be ideologically specific. If you're way off to the left, the notion that anyone would be so stupid as to think that reducing capital gains tax rates would stimulate the economy is in itself as comically absurd as a diving board on a cesspool. Nationalized health care seems so goofy to someone way off to the right that it's difficult trying to figure out how to exaggerate the absurdity to make a real joke about it. The political humor with broad appeal dosen't really make ideological assumptions, it's about things that are not really essentially political, like the physical appearance or speaking style of political figures.

Sadly this could almost be real..  :bouncegiggle:

Well, part of it is true.  There are several couples out there now naming their kids Obama or Barack, hopefully though, they won't grow up to be annoying.  :)
