Count me in as one of the people disappointed that they never finished it. I'd never even heard of the books, I just stumbled across the first episode one night and was hooked. It was during pledge season, so during the breaks, one of the incentives to donate was a copy of the trilogy. Then they started on the second season and I was really getting into it. Then it just ended. I call up a friend who keeps up with British SF shows and he tells me they never made a third season!

 I propose new laws for TV shows;

 1. If a show has a story arc, the show must be allowed to finish that arc before being taken off the air.

 2. No season finale may end with a cliffhanger unless the show is guaranteed to be renewed or the network will be required to film and air the conclusion to the cliffhanger.

 3. Networks must air all episodes of a show that are produced, or offer copies on tape for a small fee. This also applies to shows from other countries that a channel starts showing here.
