AHD, if you liked LA DOLCE VITA, you might like THE BICYCLE THIEF.

As for me, I like 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, and I love 1960s movies with crazy LSD-freakout scenes.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

For crazy LSD freak-out scenes, you might like The Love-Ins (1967) and/or Skidoo (1968).  Something Weird Video has also released several '60s LSD films on VHS and DVD.

I really liked Stranger than Paradise (1984), and I love moving, thought-provoking dramas with rich storytelling and powerful imagery.

Doc Daneeka

Resurrecting this thread because it recommended me a movie I had not considered looking at before, and am strongly considering getting for Christmas  (That is my second recommendation, of course :buggedout: )

If you liked Stranger than Paradise, you might like Priscilla: Queen of the Desert (I dunno about that, but it's a road movie concerning a niche group and "Stranger" sounds kinda like that too), and if you like thought-provoking dramas with rich storytelling and powerful imagery, the best thing I can think of is Amadeus.

I liked Spookies and I love horror films with multiple, imaginatively-thought-of killers (And I have already seen Neon Maniacs and Alone in the Dark :bouncegiggle: ).

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

If you liked Spookies, then you might like Night of the Demons. Since you like horror films with multiple, imaginatively-thought-of killers, you might try Theatre of Blood or The Abominable Dr. Phibes and its sequel. Hope those aren't so common that you've seen them already.

I liked Return to Oz. I really like movies with well-done but really off-beat storylines.
"They tap dance not, neither do they fart." --Greensleeves, on the Fig Men of the Imagination, in "Twice Upon a Time."

well done but offbeat storylines?  You can't do any better than "The Price of Milk", a New Zealand fantasy/magical-realist film from a few years back.

I like a lot of different things, but just watched Ingmar Bergman's "Hour of The Wolf"(For the first time in my life - don't know what took me so long), so will say I like "decent into madness" movies --

I have no idea what this means.

Jim H

If you liked Hour of the Wolf, you'd like In The Mouth of Madness.

I liked 2019: Afer the Fall of New York, and like the post-apocalyptic genre.

Psycho Circus

If you liked "2019" and post-apocalyptic films, you may like Damnation Alley

I like "Shock 'Em Dead" and I love films with too much hairspray and spandex  :teddyr:

If you liked Shock 'EM Dead then you'll probably dig Rock N' Roll Nightmare.

If you love movies with too much hairspray and spandex, then you need to see The Decline Of Western Civilization 2: The Metal Years.

I like The Ebola Syndrome, and I love sleazy Cat III cinema.

Ahh, you know me sooo well. I have all those

Chang Saam

If you like Ebola Syndrome and love sleazy cat III cinema, you'll probably like Human Pork Chop.

I like "Flight of the Heroine" and love movies with dubbing done by people who made up their own lines instead of translating the original language.
