I want to see They Live reviewed here. How do you think it will fare?

Chadzilla

A three slime rating would be a safe bet, depends on who reviews it though.

This is the one with Roddy Piper isn't it?

I like "They Live" and would love to review it.  Unfortunately, my DVD was borrowed by someone and never returned - so I do not have a copy in my collection.

Probably a high three slimer in my book.

Never returned it?! That sucks!

One of the most priceless scenes in B-movie history was when Piper asks his friend to put the glasses on and the guy doesn't feel like it, and Piper insists, and the guy tells him to get lost, and they wind up in a knock-down drag-out BRAWL just because one guy wants the other guy to put on a pair of glasses and the other guy doesn't feel like it.  It was a 7-8 minute RANDOM ACT OF VIOLENCE AGAINST THE TWO MOST STUBBORN PEOPLE IN THE WORLD.

I also forget one plot point.  Did the monsters actually have a sinister agenda, or was Piper just totally screwing up a peaceful race's ability to live side-by-side with humans?  Maybe there was something evil going on, but I cannot remember.

You gotta love a movie in which a global conspiracy by alien beings capable of spontaneous intergalactic teleportation, invisibility, and subliminal mind control relies upon a single fragile plastic ray-thingie sitting completely unprotected on the roof of a medium-level high-rise with no backup whatsoever.

*cough*

Dan, they were evil. You see, they were doing all this to US. If we were doing it to them, well, yeah, that'd be different...right?

I don't think they ever really revealed any evil plot, other than hunting down and killing people who knew about them. They did use subliminal messages to make people obey them though.
