One Rap Song That Defined the 90's For You

In the early 90's, I was heavy into rap.
I tricked out the stereo in my car (spent hundreds of dollars on subs and amps) to produce deep bass that you could feel in your teeth and chest.  To say that I was an audiophile was an understatement.

If God asked me to blast my all-time favorite rap song that, in my opinion, defined the 90's, it'd be this one:

What would you blast?

Honestly, there's a whole selection of songs I could choose from.  This one just popped up in my head though.
"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell."

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.
It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide.

I don't like rap, but I did like this one.  Nice protest song instead of that gangsta posturing.

I was fascinated with Flava Flave for a short period after this came out because, as I was quick to point out to anyone who asked, "he wears a big mother****in' CLOCK!"
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I'm not much of a rap fan but "U can't touch this" by MC Hammer was probably the first rap song that I actually found listenable.

There are few things more beautiful than a sporting montage with a soft-rock soundtrack

I seriously think Ice Cube had one of the most fierce voices in rap.  Watching him in family comedies now just doesn't seem right.  MC Ren was a bad ass too...aw hell they were all bad asses.

I just had to counter with this:
Amish Paradise by "Weird Al" Yankovic.

What's not entertaining about a rap song talking up the utter boring lives of the Amish?
"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell."

Funny, I like rap, but I hate most mainstream rap. I really do not care about how much money so-and-so makes. I sure as hell don't care enough to listen to a whole song about it. I was glad when I discovered alternative hip-hop, where they sing about things other than bankrolls and what a bad ass the fake gangster "rhyming" is.

I do like that Mos Def, though.

'90s rap? This song.

You're lucky. I could have posted that Rumpshaker video. Oh wait, here it is:

Sorry, but this song defined me in the '90s.  Granted, I was like, 8 when it came out.  But it helped me form a love for a certain thing.
