What movie is there that you think NOBODY hates?

When I was Christmas shopping a few weeks ago, I overheard someone say they HATED the movie "Grumpy Old Men". Now, this is not my favorite movie, not by a long shot, BUT, , I just don't see what there is to HATE about it. It's a lighthearted romantic comedy with some great, long-time actors. Burgess Meredeth's character was great, who wouldn't admire a beer-drinking, perverted, 95-year old man? Walter and Jack I thought did a great job of two senior-citizen adolescents that insist on being a pain in the @$$ to each other, Ann Margaret played her part well also. To me it's truly entertaining and fun.

This is one of those movies that although I understand it not being someone's favorite movie, I just don't see many people hating it, but, I'm sure there are those that do hate it, and I'd like to hear why. Also, anyone else know of a movie they can't see how anyone could hate?

For the record, I LOVE Star Wars, as well as The Matrix, but, I understand COMPLETELY why some would dislike and even hate those movies. I think movies of an epic scale easily polarize with audiences (Most of the movies I hate are of the "epic scale" variety), but those aren't what I'm talking about, if that makes any sense.

I was thinking of a lot of Pixar Disney ones.  Films like Toy Story, Monsters Inc, etc. They're witty for both adults and kids alike.

Nobody can possibly hate the sheer excellence of films such as Re-Animator or Scent Of A Woman.

I don't know about everybody loving them, but I run into very few people that dislike The Princess Bride or The Fifth Element. I realize that fantasy movies may not be everyone's cup of tea, but these are both unique, well-done movies. I've read a couple of negative/meh comments about these movies, but only a very few.

There's no movie that someone doesn't hate, and there's no movie, however bad it might be, that someone doesn't love.  This board is continuing proof of the last part.

That's true.  The Princess Bride seems to be the one movie everyone loves.  Not sure about The Fifth Element  a lot of people I know simpl haven't seen it.

What about Wizard of Oz or Gone with the Wind  Never really heard anyone talk bad about them.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

I don't like Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz was way cooler. :teddyr:

Wizard of Oz is OK, but not one of my favorites by a long shot. I've heard people give s**t about how Gone with the Wind is "Too long" or "Racist" :P . At the risk of another "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!", count me among those who don't like "Finding Nemo" all too much, kinda gets on my nerves.

Though it's not exactly something that "everyone" knows about, I have heard very few complaints about the original TREMORS, honestly, I don't see much that people would complain about.

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

Psycho Circus

Every year there's about 20 Pixar films about stupid CGI animals, I have no idea how the world isn't flooded in puke.

I think Wizard Of Oz is magical to some and a bit freaky to others hence some people's distaste of it.  I personally am ok with it but don't gush every time it's on.

How about Jaws?  Its my personal fav of all time.  Although I wouldn't take it personal if someone didn't like it.

I don't see how anyone could hate "The Christmas Story" but I'm sure there is some atheist out there that can't see past the title to see the humor.
