I just ordered the sequal to Piranha.

I am looking forward to seeing how much worse it could have got. I remember watching Piranha on TV and wondering why I am watching this s**t but that was before I was into B movies.

I wonder what they would have done if they had made a Piranha 3.

pirahna 2: the spawning is awesome.  I remember especially being shocked at one point they showed a woman's pubic area.  it must have gotten by the censors of my local tv station.

it's a cool movie the pirahnas are bred with flying fish!!

I wonder if they had made a 3rd film if they would have arms and legs or have cross breed with a shark to create a giant piranha.

Piranha 3000 - In Space!

Imagine the horror of being stuck in zero gravity with a swarm of fish swimming around like they are in water, and they can chew through ceramic steel bulkheads!

Sounds like the Perfect B movie.  :bouncegiggle:

If any film deserves a reboot of the franchise it is Piranha. I want to see Piranha on IMAX!

this was directed by Joe Dante who went on to do THE HOWLING and GREMLINS...Piranha is deliberately crappy IMO, you can kind of tell from the promo poster

I really liked this one.  of all the animal movies they showed, and they seemed to have an endless supply of them, this was my favorite

Piranha II was directed by none other than James Cameron.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Wait -- are we all certain there was no Piranah 3?  I thought there was -- I must be confusing it with Megladon, or something else . . .
Okay, so in 2 they breed with flying fish & that's the hook . . . wasn't there a 3rd film of them mutating even further?
peter johnson/denny confused
I have no idea what this means.

Doggett

There was no third one.
There's a third Tremors where the monsters evolve further.

there was a third pirahna directed by peter Jackson called "Lord of the Rings trilogy"

JJ80

There was a mid-nineties remake rather than a third sequel to the original.

There are few things more beautiful than a sporting montage with a soft-rock soundtrack
