....Like i said, rapid edits dureing a fight scene are a sign of poor coreography. Over rated this, think I. Sonny Chiba is haveing fun with his part, but the other guys are kind of bland. "Cloud" is moody and brooding, and thats about it.
....So, decent MST level, and great cinematography, but not a real pulse sturrer, if ya get my drift. Do like me, and hit the Public Library.

I saw this one last week myself.  Sure it aint high art, but there a damn lot of cool visuals going on.  Yes, the CGI was terrible, but somehow it worked anway.  The fight scenes didn't bother me too much, because they weren't the main focus of the movie.

I gotta see the similar Tsui Hark XU WARRIORS (a.k.a. THE LEGEND OF XU) now.  It looks even cooler.

I love these Martial fantasies.

I like this one for its many ideas and really cool images.  The prophecy suspended in the air, the fact that Sword Saint is not physically, but spiritually superior to Conqueror, the flight through the graveyard of swords and fireflies - all neat points.

The story does ebb at times and the fights are usually made interesting by effects, not good choreography or skill.  One exception is the bamboo battle.  I think that was very well done, but hurt in the editing.

Yea definately pick up Legend of Zu(2001) if you liked this one
better visuals but a complicated story at times
