Bad Neighbors

The neighbors from Hell are gone!
They received so many noise complaints from all the tenants around them and the landlord evicted them.

Do I feel bad for helping to get them evicted?
Not at all.

If you lived next to them, you'd be happy too.
It's weird.  There's no noise from that apartment at all.
I'm so happy!

I used to live in a nice, quiet neighborhood.   There are a few kids who make normal "kid-level" noises...which was fine.  Then the house next door was sold to some "hood rats". 

Not sure who owns the house.  There are at least 3 overweight women and a couple of kids who run in and out.  There is traffic - heavy traffic allll the time.  (This is a dead end street at the end of a cul-de-sac).  I'm not sure, but I think they were dealing drugs.  One car was parked in front of my driveway as I came home.  I asked if I could help them with something - they said no - they were waiting for their cousin - and smelled terribly of alcohol.  Someone must've had the same thoughts I had.  Police started cruising our small street - and the in-and-out traffic disappeared.

But this is what still goes on.   Last night they had a party.  Cars parked everywhere.  Woke up this morning and there was a beer can on the street and another on their lawn.  I threw the can back on their lawn.  This is (or was) a nice, family-oriented neighborhood.  When people throw parties - they generally have them inSIDE their homes - and certainly don't throw beer cans out on the lawn.  If this happened only once every blue moon - I'd have no problem with it.  But they have tons of people (obviously from the ghetto) over ALL the time.  They have a huge backyard - but insist on leaving their garage door open and hang out in the driveway and garage - talking in VERY loud voices.  They are soooo freaking obnoxious!  The neighborhood was completely integrated when I moved in...but no "white trash" or "ghetto people". 

Now - other neighbors are talking about moving.  There goes the value of my home (already decreased in value due to the economy). 

Thanks for letting me vent.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  (I joined this forum solely so I could vent about them - lol.)

I've had bad neighbors twice and both times I got 'em evicted.

I wanted to sit on the lawn and munch popcorn while watching them move out,
but they moved when I was at work.

Now we purchased a home and life is better.
