Tonight I began running a roleplaying campaign again.  I don't generally run Dungeons and Dragons, as I've had too many problems with rules-lawyer players.  I run the Call of Cthulhu RPG, and last year had a really successful campaign that lasted almost nine months that my players still talk about (and they still spit and curse when they think of the villain).  This year's CofC campaign has less than half as many players, and I think is a better group overall. 

And darn it, I love being the guy behind the screen, running the action.  It just takes so much out of me.

I've had Prince Caspian on the top of my queue at Netflix for MONTHS now and it STILL says, "Short Wait", which is really ironic considering I was able to get The Dark Knight just a few days after it came out.

Saucerman, When my ex was 16/17, she was sleeping with 50 year old men.  She (age 21 right now) left me for a 35 year old geek a week before my birthday, just 'cause he had a car. 

I should've seen it coming, as she did that type of crap to me all the time.

Having been trounced today 6-4, 6-2 by someone I know I would have wiped the court with back in the day, my depressingly downward spiral of a tennis player marches on.

In fact the downward spiral goes something like this:

I know at age thirty I'm not as good as I used to be.

Because I know I'm not as good as I used to be, I play less often to avoid being confronted with that fact.

The less I play, the farther from my peak I slide.

Depressing cycle repeats. (Sigh.)
