Flangepart asked about "Futurama" on DVD; if you have a region-free player or an extra one you can switch to region 2, you can nail the first two seasons of "Futurama" on DVD from Amazon.co.UK; otherwise, you may be in for a wait.

FOX has all but officially cancelled the show, but Cartoon Network has picked up the existing eps for their "Adult Swim" slot. "Futurama" still has one season in the can--actually, leftovers from prior seasons messed up by constant pre-emptings--whether FOX airs them remains to be seen.

(I'm surprised no one mentioned that "Futurama" obviously tips their hat to Douglas Adams with that particular episode.)

Latest news on the show and related merchandise is always available at Can't Get Enough Futurama.

Note to Fearless Freep: I am an old fart, and my experiences with Cap'n Harlock date from waaaaaay back when that one was called "My Youth In Arcadia." Back when I considered myself very fortunate indeed to have ANY version of "Galaxy Express"--even the original crappy dubbed version--or a fourth-generation copy of "Nausicaa." Ah, memories... Captain Harlock's own TV-anime series of the same name actually appeared in the US video around the same time, but only two episodes on tape--translated in such a fashion that Captain Harlock abandons Earth to an alien threat after a little girl dies in a tornado. (!!!!!--Of course, that's not what actually occurs in the original, but that's how someone chose to translate it!!!)

>I remember it,. It was about the time of "Dragon's Lair" where video game
>makers were experimenting with various forms of using laserdiscs

I did a search for the word laserdisc through the plain text summary for the KLOV, but none of the matches sounded like the game in question.
