I saw this 1980's horror film ONCE late a night. If someone can reveal, at least the name, that will be great.
It involved a party being thrown at(a suspected haunted or cursed) house, which the lead actress protested leaving the party/house; from the beginning and throughout the movie.
Throughout the movie, one by one, people starting getting killed.
I only can recall a few scenes:
1. a guy runs through a junk filled basement, where an unseen demon or creature appears to be waiting-sitting in a chair.
2. the lead actress is torrmented by the other party go-ers and is led to the basement door. Upon opening the door, viewers wittness the beheading of a girl trapped in a guillotine. Latter it's revealed to be a prank and the body was really an elaborate dummy.
3.Near the conclusion, it is revealed the lead actress who protested leaving the house, was in fact the demon or source of the evil in the house, killing people. She was "chosen" because she never wanted to "stay in the house".
If anyone can tell me the name of the movie, I'd be greatful.

On the right track, thanks helping. I thought my movie might be Night of the Demons, but that movie proved to be too silly.

This remake with Frank Stallone   did have a beheading if I remember right. It was released in 1990 though.

Sounds like Killer Party (1986).

Sounds right, if only I could see some footage though. Every online search I have done points to a VHS release and not DVD.  A Youtube clip of "Killer Party" is out of the question.
Thank you for your help.

Here's a youtube review of MANIAC and KILLER PARTY: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=678A6NOgaLE.  KILLER PARTY is the second review.  I didn't watch it so I can't say if they include clips, or how many.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Thanks.
I've already made myself watch this clip. No clip of Killer Party within, just two guys in a basement talking about the two films.
I have seen more scenes of Killer Party from that music video on Youtube than from anywhere else and that's not saying much.
