What have you been drinking?

This post is not meant to condone or encourage alcohol abuse  :drink:... I'm just curious.

I like to sample different adult beverages-- mostly beer.

My latest purchase:

Moe's Backroom Pale Ale (couldn't find an image, so I'm linking this review)

It's mediocre, but cheap.  Barely reminiscent of a plae ale, but it's a lot better than budweiser or suchlike.  I occasionally buy it at the grocery store because it's cheap and convenient.

What about you?  (Feel free to add nonalcoholic beverages if you like).

I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I generally drink cider or Bacardi Breezers (orange and pineapple, but I don't enjoy the pineapple as much - I've only recently started to realise it's acceptable to buy two bottles of orange instead of one of each).

I have recently discovered Choc Amore - it's chocolate flavoured alcohol!! How ace is that? It's a bit like Baileys but only £2.99 for a bottle.

Non-alcoholic? Tea. I drink a lot of tea (double figures every day I reckon). Sometimes, I drink skimmed milk or orange juice too.
Where the hell is that soothing music coming from?

my friend came round last night and he always brings carlsburg special brew beer. it's 9% beer. he's the only person I know who drinks it, and its properly militant stuff. blows your head off after a few cans.

mainly stick to carlsburg export, quite fond of Tiger beer as well

Alcoholic beverages could probably go in the "haven't had that in a while" thread for me. Almost never drink anything but coffee, orange juice, milk, water or Diet Pepsi. This weekend, I did have a Kilkenny's Cream Ale, because I bought a few to make fish batter yesterday and had a can left over. And my mother-in-law is visiting, so there's wine in the house. I had a glass of something red with dinner tonight. Didn't see the label.

Franziskaner Hefeweisse

I'm mostly a beer drinker. Not a wine connoisseur, when I have wine it's by the glass and tend to take a house red. I think that I like merlots but I couldn't swear to that.

I started out with the kind of pale tasteless moose p**s they serve in kegs at college parties (in the US anyway) but I've wanted more and more flavor in my beer as I've aged. Mostly I've been drinking Guinness Stout. The only American beer I like is Samuel Adams.

But I fell in love with that cloudy wheat beer, Hefeweisse, when I was in Germany and I recently discovered I can get it for $2.60 a bottle in a store in my neighborhood. So I've been having that lately. I rarely drink more than one beer a week, and often it's more like once a month.

I will second the Franziskaner Hefeweisse.  Good stuff.  I'm also a fan of Spaten -- when it comes to beer, I prefer German.  I avoid Amerikanischen Kamelep**se as much as possible.  I did slip a bit and drink Labatt Blue recently, but that was because it was Canadian and I was at a 1920s themed party.

Whiskey is the devil, for me.  Even a small amount and I'm out of it and probably doing something stupid.

I'll have vodka in mixed drinks.

Irish Car Bombs are a particular weakness of mine when I visit the bars around campus with a couple friends -- a half-pint of Guinness, into which is dropped a combined shot of Bailey's and Jameson.  Tastes like chocolate milk.

I'm generally not a heavy drinker.  One or two beers is generally a week's worth of alcohol for me.  When I go to the bars with friends (which I don't do often because I'm poor and liquor's expensive) I might have an Irish Car Bomb and one or two Grape Bombs (a mix of grape vodka and Monster energy drink).
