It is really funny how I randomly came across the original this sequel comes from and viewed it. The next week or so, I heard it had a sequel and thought about finding it but to no avail. However, I finally found it and was amused only by the character who portrays death. The original was so much more enjoyable and made so much more sense. This sequel is one that should never have been made but somehow received enough consideration to be made. This film is one that if you have ever thought about viewing it, you need to forget that thought immediately or subject yourself to a boring film with no plot...
"Oh,there will be blood."

THANKYOU! I thought I was the only person on the earth, who thinks that "Bogus Journey" is, well, actually Bogus.  The first film is excellent, a good plot, better music and interesting. The only thing I ever remember about the sequel as a kid was when they have those Bill & Ted robots. I thought they were cool.

I prefer the second one.

You two aren't the only ones.  I disliked the second film with a passion, although I agree that Death was rather cool and the actor who portrayed Death was really acting outside his regular type of role.  Other than that, someone should be b***h-slapped for this sequel.

The original film is one that I use to illustrate how most big-budget POS films deserve to be called POS. "Excellent Adventure" deals with practically everything it sets up and NEVER changes the rules on you to get whatever ending they wanted.  "Dude, Where's My Car?" is the same thing.  People who think "Titanic" and "Jurassic Park" are GREAT films think I'm insane when I say "Excellent Adventure" is, by far, one of the most stable films I've ever seen.

Your passion for Elvira grants you a level of immunity.  We'll let you know when you start pushing the envelope, mate.

Warp Ninja X

I remember when I was 17 going to see it then saw it again at Grad Night on The Wave screen at Geauga Lake. One of my favorite parts was whene Bill and Ted possessed Ted's dad and his cop partner Wow! Donuts! lol. Did everybody notice one of Bill's step-mom/ Ted's step-mom's friends was the main guy's hot wife in Sex And The Single Alien. :teddyr:

HappyGilmore

I dunno.  I really liked both Bill and Ted films.  But, Death was one of the better parts of Bogus.

Save your immortal soul and just watch "Dude, Where's My Car?"

I think Bogus Journey is one of the best sequels ever made, and stands head-and-shoulders above the original on almost every level.  In particular, it's WAY funnier.

jimmybob

Yeah I'm with Jimmy H, I got more of a laugh out of Bogus Journey. It's more bonkey.

I've always preferred the second one to the first. The first one is just mildly amusing while the sequel is hilarious to me.

I am actually a big fan of Bogus Journey.

Javakoala, I see your point about the original being a very tightly constructed movie, which I can agree with. (I do intensely dislike Dude, Where' My Car, even if it follows those rules.)

Anyway, I like the second because it's completely insane. It was fun, for me at least. Alex Winter has gone on to do much weirder films (Freaked!)

So I like Bogus Journey. I also think Gremlins 2 is vastly superior to the original. I'm a fan of complete anarchy in films.
